Default Recieved my license today

The process was easy and straight forward. I dropped off my form, paid the fee ($31.00), got my card. The whole process took maybe 10 minutes. The officers were courteous and professional. I could not say the same for the person in front of me that was bitching commenting that he had to give two references and that the process took longer than getting a drivers license (I guess everyone has to complain about something).

If you are talking of LTCF, when I moved here from TN it took all of 10 minutes, I walked in the Sheriff himself handed me a form to fillout and asked for my DL, When I was half through with the form he called me over and took my photo. Before I was done with the form he handed me the license and when I finished he took the money.

About 5 months later on the way home from wal-mart my wife stopped in on a whim to get hers, same procedure except this time it was a deputy, total time for my wife was less than 15 minutes.

I got my first LTCF in 2002, when I lived one block from the Lewisburg courthouse. Love that town, never should have left.

Congrants on your LTCF!

When I got my LTCF, I lived in Lycoming county. Stopped by, filled out forms, they did check and gave you a call when everything was done about 2-3 days later. Then stop by again to pick it up.

Now I live in Snyder County and I guess the sheriff sends letters to the references? So he won't issue the LTCF until those are returned. Freaking stupid I think.

Anyway, I drive through Lewisburg everyday. If you ever want to shoot somewhere, let me know. I always have something to shoot with me.

Lewisburg,
Welcome to the forum, and to the world of carry.

I don't know how it will be for you, but when I first carried concealed, it felt like I was trying to hide a watermelon with a strobe light under my shirt.

Now it's no different than wearing a watch or carrying a wallet.
Always there if needed, but not really noticed.

Be safe.

Most of the deputies that work for UCSO are pretty decent. I know a lot of the guys there. Used to work at the court house, now we're at the government center. Congrats on your LTCF.
