Trainer: F-R-I
Address: Lake Winola Road
City: Factoryville
State: Pennsylvania
Cost: $390.00

Over the years I have taken some training with Steve of Firearms Research and Instruction for My Florida and Utah permits and I seen him conducting his Level-II course in Easton, PA and I have always wanted to take the Level-II and III couse but now it will be held in April at Factoryville and that is much closer for me to attend. Steve and FRI have a top notch reputation for training so if anyone in in this area in April can take advantage of the course since I don't believe it will be a yearly offered event.

Here is the discription from his website:

The Level-II course (30 hours) covers the following topics:

Mental Awareness and Conflict Avoidance
Legal Ramifications of Lethal Force
Shooting While Moving
Tactical Movement
Multiple Assailants
Malfunction Drills
Night Shooting & the Proper Use of Flashlights
Drawing from the Holster
Emergency, Tactical, Speed and Administrative Reloads
Basic Disarming and Weapons Retention

Cost: $390

Ted,
Since you told me that you were mentioning the class, I stopped in.

The plan *is* to do several classes there each year - the first one will be the test run, so to speak.

We also do classes in PA in Harrisburg and Easton - want to find a range out west (now that Comtac is no more), also.

Anyone needs anything, just yell.

Steve,
I'm sorry I was presumptuous with regards to the training not being yearly. I am glad to see you have future plans for Factoryville.
I also noticed I made a typeo on the url for your website. The correct url is www.f-r-i.com Maybe an admin or mod can fix that in the original post above since for some reason I can't or dont have permissions enough to edit it.

Those who are attending from the site please sound off here. I will be there and I would like to meet PAFOA's there.

9 - 6:30ish all three days.

Day 1 (Friday) is classroom until we break for lunch, then we go to the range for warmup, safety check and shooter diagnosis.

Days 2 and 3 (Sat and Sun) are all day on the range.

We also do a block (or two) of hand to hand, retention, disarming (PC term - Defensive Tactics) during the class.

You'll shoot between 750-1000 rounds.

DanV.
Did you sign up for it yet? I ask because you said keep you up to date on it but there really isn't anything to keep to date on because FRI already has it scheduled for April 20th and it runs that Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9am until 6ish. If you didn't sign up yet then doing it before December 10th would then get you booked and and PAFOA a 10% donation.
Thats a win-win for everyone.

Steve,

If you are still looking for a range in the western half of the state, I know of a couple in Blair Co. Send me a message or an e-mail if interested.

Thanks!
Corey
