An NRA Curriculum.
Metallic Cartridge Reloading

This BASIC Eight (8 ) hour class is the perfect 'starter' to introduce a new shooter to the benefits (accuracy and cost savings) of metallic cartridge reloading!

Using the NRA training method of Total Participant Involvement, you will: select a common cartridge to reload (.30-06, .308, .243, .223, 9mm, .38spcl, .45acp, 44spcl); select a bullet weight and style for the desired purpose; locate load information from a minimum of two current reloading/ballistics manuals; select, inspect, and process brass for the selected cartridge; 'throw' and weigh charges using a digital or balance scale; load and complete the cartridge sing a single stage press (RCBS Rockchucker or similar); measure the loaded cartridge with a caliper and/or case gage; fire the reloaded cartridges over a chrony for velocity determination; using the velocity determination, describe the probable trajectory using the ballistics tables from the reloading manuals; create a label for storage of similar rounds.

NO RELOADING EQUIPMENT REQUIRED, other than your eye protection. I would recommend NOT buying equipment, if you don't have any, until AFTER this course. Owners of alternate common presses are welcome to bring them for demo only (Lee, Hornady Lock-N-Load, Dillon)

ALL ROUNDS MANUFACTURED IN THIS COURSE WILL BE EXPENDED BEFORE THE END OF THE COURSE FOR LIABILITY REASONS

Eye protection REQUIRED-please B.Y.O.
Ear protection and climate appropriate clothing for the outside firings of rifle cartridges would be appropriate.
