Default Seperate Area for Holster discussion/information?

Hey guys,

As a newby to carrying a firearm, I know how complicated finding the right holster can be. I searched around on these forums and was able to find a few good threads about holsters, but not near as much information as I know this forum can put together. PAFOA is a very knowledgable place and a great spot to get info, but holster info is really hard to find.

I think with its own seperate area it could be easier for new entries to carrying to find information about what is good to look for in a new holster, and what type of things to avoid. What are good makers and who are the bad ones. Right now holster info is scattered all over the forums, in the Q&A, OC/CC thread and most likely in other areas as well. Any thoughts?

-Moose

Being as holsters are for carry, the right place for them is in the OC/CC section, but you're right, some things get spread out quite a bit. Its not likely there will ever be a special holster section, so the only advice i can give, which you've probably already done, is use the search function.

An area for holsters is a pretty good idea. The other threads do get lost in the shuffle.

While I don't think a special holsters section is likely to come anytime soon, maybe a little more broad would be a good idea, "storage, cases, and transportion" covering holsters, safes, vaults, cabinets, carrying cases, etc.
