Why not just make an OC Drama section for all the people to battle the OC mafia and to post - LE encounters? Both are dealing with firearms, holsters, case law, do's and don'ts, ext.... The similarities outweigh the differences and I don't see any good in separating them out. (just one man's opinion)

In my opinion, this will only serve to further polarize the two positions and would not produce any benefit.

Both sides have proven time and time again, they can't play nice in the same sandbox.
All of the name calling and infighting only serves to embolden the anti-gun crowd. Besides it is hard getting all of the sand out of my hair and eyes

I like this idea for practical reasons.
It is hard to get much feedback or many responses to any non-oc thread as they go farther down on the list and off the first page very quickly due to the extremely active OC threads.

I don't know man. I don't think we really need any more seperation.
How about just a "soap opera" forum. All the drama you can handle. I don't know, but I am even getting a little tired of hearing about OC drama every damn day. Can't we just go back to arguing about calibers like we used to? 9mm is better because you can carry more ammo ![]()

Warning:
DO NOT turn this into a continuation of the thread that JayBell just locked. This is not directed at anyone specific. Simply an up front notice. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. As for two forums? My thinking is that it's like putting two fighting siblings in chairs in opposite corners of the room and expecting the fighting to stop. It isn't going to change a thing. Someone will simply get off the chair when "mom" isn't looking, and go poke the other one in the ribs. Most every thread that I've seen deteriorate into a shitstorm(OC or not)has been caused by someone with no real interest in the subject, yet they pop on into the conversation and add things they know are not going to be well received. In other words, if people are currently entering threads about OC even if they have no interest in the subject, why would they "stay out" if the thread were in it's own forum? |

What's the difference? There will be OC threads. There will be CC threads. Those that live to be argumentative will venture into one thread or another. I feel it’s best to respect both worlds and learn from the two camps. Those that prefer to trash other members preference will do it regardless of carry preference, caliber preference, holster preference…………

IMO there's no need to seperate the 2 topics as when it boils down to it, it's the same topic.
If you carry great who cares about carry prefrences.

One forum to keep track of is enough. It won't ease tensions.
