If you were an anti, would you admit to it with all the clue-by-fours this forum keeps in stock?

Could you cite a specific example or two?

It's a good point but it happens on every board. I don't really think it is intentional either as it seems to me that the majority of people don't really read the whole thread so comments and such can often be overlooked. I don't think there is anyone here who intentionally does such a thing but I can see how it might seem that way.

There have been two times that I know of myself personally that have said something and then someone came behind me wrote the very same thing changed the wording and everybody screamed them a genius. I also know of two times with the influx we have gotten of new people, there where some very smart things said by two separate people with like 3 posts each, then one of those with higher post count and maybe more well know said the very same thing a few posts later and everyone was like wow that super smart and they got all he credit and rep points for it. Consequently I have not seen either entity around since then. that is a specific as I would like to go as to not alienate my fellow members. All I am saying is just be aware of the newbies and those with lower post counts. I am not saying give them special treatment or anything like that, just read what they have to say and if you agree reward them. This is how we keep the bright minds here. We have a lot of very very smart people here that does not mean we don't need more nor can we afford to lose them as our struggle continues. I really hope this does not cause me any backlash but I felt the need to say something.

I don't know if you are asking me or calling me anti?? I am not sure and am in no way upset at all. Just so all know, I am about as pro-gun, pro second amendment as humanly possible!!!!

For my anser, if i was one of those gun grabbers, this forum is the last place i'd be saying anything at all. Clue-by-fours scare me, when weilded by gorillas, pit bulls, and rotz-weilers i don't want to be on the same continent as them lol. |

Shit happens. There's nothing anyone can do about it. Worrying too much will just make your hair gray and fall out

Just for the record, you realize that just because someone types +1 or +1000000, doesn't mean they gave rep, just as the ones who give rep, don't necessarily say they did. I don't usually announce when I give rep, I type my comment to the poster in the rep reason line. Hell sometimes I just give out rep to newbies for the hell of it, it's my "rep a random newbie" program. Believe me, if you are saying stuff that people think is right on the money, you will get rep for it. In addition, if the thought needed to be re-worded, then maybe it didn't deserve recognition... Take Nineseven as an example. That dude makes words slink up off the page and has them caress your face lovingly, before slapping the crap out of you and cliff diving back onto your monitor. If he and I had the same thought and typed them a few minutes apart, I am sure no one would even remember I posted at all. Then there is Mr.Ugly. That dude rarely says anything, but when he does, it is usually right on the ball. Look at his rep to post count ratio. Just stuff to consider before getting worked up
