Why is this happening?
For the past 6-8 email notifications I have gotten for the PA Patriot arrest thread, I follow the link and it always takes me to post #520, even though, that was soomething like 50 posts ago. Anyone ever had this issue before?

Have you tried logging out and then back in. Mine was taking me to post #550. I believe the site is taking you back to the first new post from when you logged in.

I believe you are correct. You could also change your user CP settings to not recieve e-mail alerts. But then you'd need to subscribe to threads to keep tabs easier.
