Exclamation Mossberg Made Remington 870 Barrels

OK, Mossberg makes replacement or "extra" barrels to fit remington 870s. I am looking to get one in the 24" Rifled Barrel w/ integral sight base. Does anyone have any experience with these?

I am looking for info on fit and finish, accuracy, and if it would fit on an 870 wingmaster.

I am assuming that all configurations of the Remington 870 barrels are interchangable on any 870 line shotgun, is this a good assumption?

Thanks for your time and help everyone.

Bought a slug barrel for my 870 and am well satisfied. I think that all 870 barrels are interchangeable ie Wingmaster and express.

Was the barrel that you bought made by mossberg or was it made by remington?

Sometime back we took 5 different shotguns to the club to zero them. 3 were smoothbore and 2 were rifled a Mossberg and an 870. With several sabot loads and 3 different manufactures rifled lead slugs. The end results at 50 yds. were a functional tie. The smoothbores with Aimpoints and the rifled with scopes were both deadly under 75 yds. The rifled barrels did not really shine until we got further out than normal deer kill ranges. The 870 rifled barrel shot some very nice groups at 200 yds. well with in the accepted kill zone on deer.
The general consenses was that the Aimpoints were more inportant than the rifled barrels.
Since we are not allowed to hunt deer with rifles some of us have spent 30 yrs working on shotguns combinations to hunt with. The technology has gone from 10-12"groups at 50 yds. to 2-3".
