We bought it for home defense and with a different barrel I can go turkey hunting. So, buckshot basically.

at the SGL's you can shoot slugs at the rifle bench's and pistol and you can shoot shot at the "trap" field next door

I spoke to the people at the Luzerne county SGL. They are the ones who told me they aren't set up for shotguns. Which SGL's are you refering to?

Never mind, folks. SGL 300 in Lackawanna county has trap, but it won;t reopen til late September.

127 near tobyhanna has a trap field. look up the state ranges and see which ones are near you. 127 is closed for the next few weeks till early sept, but you should check this out at the state level.

Let me get this straight. So you can shoot slugs out of a shotgun at the rifle benches and pistol range? An no one is going to bust your balls about this?

Try some 4,5, or 6 shot in a special turkey load. These work very well. After all the smaller the shot size the more of them there are to kill what you shoot! At the biggest use some #2 steel but that is even overkill.
