Good beginner duck gun?

Wondering if anybody had any tips on a good duck/goose/upland bird gun for a beginner like me. I would try to keep it as reasonably priced as possible, but more interested in a good qulaity, reliable, multi-tasker that will last me a few seasons. Thanks for any help.

I would get a pump action that chambers 31/2" ultra mags. Mossberg 835 or 535. Or rem 870 3 1/2.

Lots of options with those two. You can hunt anything from squirells to deer to geese.

+1. A longer barrrel is typically better on a goose gun. 28" is a good all around gun. You want choke tubes and a ventilated rib. Ducks and Geese in PA require steel shot in most, if not all, areas and chokes act one range tighter when using steel.

It is important to note that alot of the guns that chamber the ultra-mags have overbored barells. I know the 835 does. That means you can't shoot slugs out of them and need to get a slug barell if you want to do so.

Not a big deal if you don't hunt deer with a shotgun.

Not a beginners gun, and not cheap, but if you get into it big time, i would next go with a Rem SP-10 10 guage autoloader or the Browning 10 guage autoloader
