You can get a standard AR15 bayo for it and be in business. The bayonet will make it a bit longer however.

I've got a 590 Special Purpose for HD. I like the way the controls are set up vs the Remmy 870. Still need to put a light on it.

If at all possible, I stress possible. Try to find a 500 ATP. Have had mine for 6 years and it has been my go to gun for everything you can imagine. I chose it over the 590 because it was cheaper, and still retains the bayonet lug. Not an extremely useful thing but a shotgun with a bayonet on the end is about as menacing as you can get. I agree its a bit large for clearing a house, but with a little practice it can be done very effectively...at the very least its a three foot staff if not fired.

I had a 590 a few years back and loved it. Sold it because I needed the cash at one point, really regretted it afterward.

Go ahead and get it, you can't go wrong.
