Default Blunderbusses

Eeb-d-b-dee uuuh what's up doc? Hi, I'm new to this forum. I was searching for info on blunderbusses and stumbled across this forum, and knew instantly that I wanted to get in on this.

So, does anybody know were I can find a blunderbuss? Websites? Dealers? Are there any restrictions on owning one here in PA? How much does one of these blunderbusses cost? Does anyone still make them brand new yet? I don't have to have a new one; I am just curious. Is it legal to hunt with one of them? I'm not looking for a fake one, I want one that is functional - not one that is so expensive, old, rare, or so preciously nice that I wouldn't want to actually fire it. I want one just for the novelty of having it. Ok, I would do it mostly just to get a couple of good laughs from my buddies, and just to see if I could actually go do some critter git'n with it during wabbit theathon. Yeah, I would be nutz enough to try it. (This is coming from somebody who hunts whitetails with a .338 Mag and a S&W500 just simply because I can.) So if you have any info on where to find a blunderbuss, let me know. Thanks!

If you find them cheaper please post, as I too have developed an interest in these.

100% street legal & no paperwork in PA...same with grenade launchers as long as they're black powder. Click on image below for example:

Just a little expensive.

My buddy had one years ago and we fired everything that we could jam down the barrel from it! Nuts, bolts, roofing nails, ball bearings, fruit loops. Yep, fruit loops! They didn't fair as good as the other improvised ammo, however! It was kinda like a fruity dust cloud mixed with a lot of smoke coming from the barrel!

I seriously want one of those hand-mortars. I'm thinking "deer hunting".. and lobbing in rounds on unsuspecting groundhogs.

This the best place to reach and find what ye seek.

Talking Re: Blunderbusses

Hey, thanks everybody for the info and great responses. I guess I'm not the only knucklhead out there. :-) I'll definitely be looking into this some more now, thanks to all your help. I'm starting to really get cranked up about out of the idea of having one of these guns. Can't wait!! I always have a bunch of buddies over sometime in the fall for a huge-by-large clay shoot. Of course everybody always comes loaded with just about any other kind of artillery imaginable too. It sounds like a big popcorn festival all afternoon and the neighbors don't get their Sunday afternoon nap. Oh well, that's ok. Half the time their kid, who is about my age, is out there with us making as much racket as anyone else. This blunderbuss would be something great to unveil then. Probably won't happen this fall anymore, but maybe by next year....after wabbit season.
