Has anyone ever dealt with Big Sky Guns, LLC in Montana? I've never bought a handgun on the internet before, and they seem to have pretty good prices, but I wasn't sure if anyone had any experience ordering with them. Thanks!

I had the same question but couldn't find any first hand reviews of Big Sky Guns. After doing some research, they appeared to be a legit business, so I finally placed an order earlier this morning. I'll let you know how it works out.

Thanks, daniel1113! I actually decided to order from them anyway, since they seemed legit and had a good price on the Walther I wanted. I sent them a couple of emails with questions to see how they responded, and they were pretty quick to get back to me, which is a good sign. The responses were short and sweet, but what more do you need?
The ordering process was pretty straight forward too. I had a problem when I was checking out with a browser error or something, which resulted in me having to re-do the order, but it did go through eventually. On their order status page, however, it listed three transactions- one for the main order with shipping, and two other separate shipping costs. When I had the error before, my cart cleared of everything but the shipping price, so it looked like I was billed two additional times for shipping. They must have caught it though, because my credit card was only billed for the real amount. Whew. They sent me confirmation emails and a .pdf of my invoice, which was nice. It did list the shipping as going through the USPS and not UPS like I requested, but the price was the same in either case, so it wasn't a big deal. When I checked back on their site for an order update, it listed my account as having no orders! When I sent them an email about it, they responded that my Walther should have arrived at Gunrunners of PA (who I went through for the FFL transfer) already, and sure enough, I got an email from them saying it arrived. Very quick on the shipping, considering it was coming from Montana. I haven't picked up the gun yet, so I can't comment on the condition and whatnot yet, but so far, everything seems to have gone very smoothly. I will let you know how it finally ends. |

Well, I just picked up my new Walther from Todd at Gunrunner's of PA (highly recommended by the way!), and everything arrived was exactly as promised. I would definitely deal with Big Sky Guns again.
