File a report with the Better Business Bureau. That'll get their attention.

Although I don't usually get involved in people's rants, I think the info about Safariland is correct.
Safariland is owned by BAE who also owns most of the law enforcement/military gear manufacturers (including Bianchi, Defense Technology, Hatch, Casco and many more). Safariland stocks very little of the gear they sell. They only stock the most popular items and for them--that's leather and basketweave gear which is used law enforcement. I've spoken to a Safariland rep who said that they have recently discontinued several nylok holsters to focus more on holsters used by law enforcement. You got to remember for every holster model like their 6280 holster there could be over 800 different models (finish, gun type or hand choice). If you contact Safariland directly to order a holster--if it's for one of their commonly ordered duty gear holsters, they'll usually have it in stock. If you're looking for stuff in nylok, hi-gloss or nylon--good luck as Safariland will often tell you it's a 30-day wait--their gear is made in Mexico. My opinion--for officers looking for duty gear, go with Safariland or Bianchi. If you're looking for a cheaper holster for personal use, go with someone else and you won't have the long waits with Safariland. How do I know? I ordered a nylok holster from Safariland's store for a Glock. I'm now in week 8. Good luck finding your nylok holster and by the way--Last month I ordered a new laptop through dell and paid to have it next day'd before I left for a trip. It took Dell 3 weeks to process my order and ship it out, but they still shipped it next day like I ordered. That's a common practice. I dont know about this company if they have a real store or not, but I know few on the internet actually have a real store--most don't have a real address listed so I've learned I always call or email ahead before I place my order. |
