Thumbs down Warner's - Still waiting....

Friends,
It really pains me to post something negative about a guy that I've done business with for years.

Two months ago Rich quoted me a great price for building an m4 upper. I immediately agreed and was told that he was waiting for the barrels, so he could build a few uppers at once.

I have called repeatedly, and have been told by his employees that he will call me back to give me an update. I am still waiting...

I have now given up, and have just ordered a flat top A3 upper w/o bolt/carrier from Centerfire Systems (www.centerfiresystems.com 800-950-1231) for $329.99.

I would much rather do business with a local shop and keep the money local, but if that is not possible, I'll have to take what I can get.

I am heading up to American Sport Shooting to get a complete bolt/carrier for the upper for $115. At least I can keep some of the $$ local.

I know that setting up a new store and still making all the shows can be distracting, but a call back would have gone a long way...

ccp72,

Yes you have been a fairly reguler customer! BUT you also know the deal with your upper. You know there was never an order written for it because of the fact I was waiting for barrels! I told you I would let you know when the barrels came in Right or Wrong? You called this past Tues. and asked if i got uppers built! You called back on weds. like Steve asked you too and were then told that I got barrels in and had uppers built BUT because of the fact that there was never even an order written for your upper ( which you KNEW) Steve didn't know if I had what you wanted built! You called back yesterday and told him EXACTLY what you wanted he told you he would check with me! You then call back today and get EXTREMELY beligerent on the phone with Steve because no one had called you back yet. He told you as soon as I came in he would ask me! (which he did) and YES sure enough the ones I just finished were exactly what you wanted! OWELL that really doesn't matter now does it!

I guess the biggest thing that amazes me is that you KNOW I stop in here an average of twice a day and would have gotten a simple PM from you (we've done it before) but instead you decide to post so ok I got broad shoulders and we both know how this went down. It was nice chatting with you over the years about different things but owell I can't make EVERY customer #1 all the time and keep everyone happy. As for someone who gets beligerent like you did today with one of my men? NO THANKS!

No problem Dredly!

Believe you me, there has been many times in the past 4 years that I wish I had a different last name because people tend to get the names confused. The OTHER W store is the one who plays the no prices over the phone game and MANY times people thought it was us.

It is a shame too because the guy that originaly owned that shop and who's name it still has is a pretty nice guy! He stops in from time to time and always states he wishs he would not have allowed the use of the name when he sold it. As for the phone number? ummm you have it!

Rich,
I wasn't extremely beligerent with Steve, I was fairly annoyed, yes, but beligerent, no. I did say that it was bull#!t that I had been calling for nearly 2MONTHS. I have been told over and over again that you would call me. I have always had a good relationship with you as well as your employees. Could it be that your employees are a bit forgetful, and do not pass the messages on?

Do you forget another transaction which I will not get into on this board? I do not go out of my way to criticize you, your employees, or your shop, in fact, I have given much favorable mention of you, your shop, and your employees in the past when others have voiced complaints. I have waited for PMs, and my phone has voicemail.
I can call and cancel the order if you have the upper ready. Simple as that... Is it ready?

ccp72,,, I too get a little upset when I don't get a returned phone call from some one who I leave MANY messages for. If Rich really cared for is workers the way he said then he would not put them into that position and return phone calls with gas over 3.50 a gallon. ALL IT TAKES IS ONE RETURN PHONE CALL RICH..... Remember CCP72,,,, he need you,,,,, there are many other shops to spend your money....

Hate to say it but I had problems with Warner's also I had some difficulty getting my pistol repaired and it went on for three months. It was not until I had contacted the company that had made the product that anything had been done. When the product was returned I was told by Mr Warner to never bring it back again. I have Purchased many times from his store till that day. I swear I would never recommend him or frequent his store again. because of this.

Thumbs down Re: Warner's - Still waiting....

After being stroked at Dunkleberger several moths ago. I decided to give Warner's a try. I went into to his store one evening and ask for a magazine for my full sized Kimber. At which point I was asked if I would like a 8rd. or a 7rd. mag.. I said a 8 round. At which point I was told he didn't have a 8 round only 7 round mags. So, I said fine. I will take it. After paying. I went out to my truck and tried to put it in my Kimber. It was the wrong size mag. It was for a commander. So, I went back in and a nice young lady asked if she could help me. I explained myself and told her it was the wrong size. She politely told me that it didn't fit because I didn't install the extension on the bottom of the mag.. I explained that regardless if the extension was installed or not it still would not fit my full sized Kimber because the mag that the gentleman sold me was for a commander sized gun not a full sized one that I said I had. At that point she call the guy over who sold to me. She explained to him what was wrong. At that point he got rude and told me he sold me exactly what I asked for. A magazine for a Commander size 1911. I told him that is not at all what I asked for and repeated word for word how the conversation went. At that point it seemed like I pissed him off and he told me that he would just refund my money.

All in all I was very unhappy with the whole thing and never went back to Warner's and if anybody asks about them. I tell them what happened and tell them I would never do business with them ever again.

As I can see from Warner's reply to this thread. He could care less if he loses your business. It sounds to me that it is our fault as customer that we are not happy and if we don't come back then it is fine with him.

As far as I'm concerned he is right up ther with Jerry Dunkleburger. The both of them don't deserve our business.
