Thumbs down Gander Mt transfer fees.

was at GM in Hbg yesterday....clerk said that a transfer fee is now $75!! i couldn't believe what a rip off that is. he said that was to ensure people bought their guns from GM and not online like at bud's gun shop.

At lease thats the truth. What did you think they would do? Its been posted here many times "go look at what you want at a big stocking retailer and then buy it cheaper on line".

Still cheaper to buy it online and pay Gander's ridiculous transfer fee than to just purchase it from them

hmm I was talking to one of the toher assoc. as Gander and he said it was olny 35.00 for a xfer...but i think that was olny FTF in store...I dunno about receiving a gun from another state or shop. I believe he said that was 60.00 but makes sense.

considering their markup is 30% and you wouldn't pay taxes if you bought a gun online, you still would actually save money transferring it there. Kinda sad

Anthony quoted me $50. I don't know about the rest of the board but $40 seem
outrageous to me YMMV.
