Wow. I just got done signing up to check out a order of:
(1) Springfield XD SC 10Rnds Mag (2) Pierce Grip Extension Total weight was .40lbs. Shipping cost $17!!!!! WTF? I heard pretty decent reviews from some folks I know and they didn't say anything bad about shipping, but 17 bucks for .40lbs?? I really don't get it. That's like 5.6 dollars extra per item. No wonder they have their prices so cheap. The shipping is a killer! Anyone know where I can find these items locally? I wonder if Gander carries them. I think I saw a few XD mags when I first bought the weapon. |

By any chance do you know if they are being shipped in separate packages from different locations? It seems like they have different warehouses and certain items come from each location. In my case a few months ago, I order a few items and most came from one place, but the last item from another, and of course that raised the shipping prices.
A great place to look for things is Top Gun Supply. they have one rate for shipping, and are quick to get items out. |

how much was the mag?

It didn't say, but $17? Thats insane! That was only for 40 bucks worth of items and weighing less that 1lbs.
The mags were $24 something. They were $23 something a few days ago thats why I decided to buy now, in hopes that in didn't go up in price. |

That's just a blatant rip-off.

MidwayUSA seems to be outrageous with their shipping, but not that bad.
I'll admit that I misread your original post and thought that you meant 40#, not .4#, I thought that wasn't too bad. I've had 40# - 55# shipped to me for around $15.00 - $18.00. That decimal makes a world of difference. No, I don't know right off hand of a better place to buy those items, but it seems like it would be hard to find worse. Good luck, and thanks for the awareness.

check the part numbers on the items you bought. if its all numbers its at one place, if it starts with letters then numbers its at a diffrent place and you get charged for shipping 2 diffrent packages.
