Wait, Walther is anti-gun? Who knew?

Neil is a little extreme in what he feels is anti 2A but otherwise he is a good guy. We have been wholesaleing Kimbers to him for years now and I have never had any kind of problems with him.
He has a problem with everything S&W because them and Colt are on the forefront of smart gun technology. They are seriously looking at ways to set up a firearm so that it can only be fired by the person who purchased the firearm and would basicly go dead in the hands of anyone else. He is against Acusport and Ellet bros. because they require thier dealers to prove they have an actual store front and they refuse to knowingly sell to kitchen table dealers. They want pictures of your store inside and out before they will even allow you to set up an account. If you deal with Neil the only thing you may have to deal with is he will talk your ear off if you got some free time. He does have some good priceing because he doesn't have the overhead of a big store front. He is straight up enough that in the past I have even had him call for Dealer price on a kimber and then had him call back with the customer on the line to pay for the firearm. So he doesn't jack prices thats for sure. Rich W. Last edited by Warners Surplus; January 29th, 2008 at 10:19 PM. |

What's wrong with that? I would rather have a "smart gun" than have trigger locks out the wazoo. Or even worse have my handgun get stolen and used in a violent crime. It would be nice to have a little added security. |

but the gun wouldnt work? Yikes. I am all for technology, but there are too many holes in this practise for now. |

And beyond that, there is no smart-gun system that cannot be deactivated or circumvented (which it will be by criminals). So they spend billions on R&D to design and make a gun that will be more costly than current firearms now, and we'll pass the cost of that R&D right back onto the customer. Not only are they saddled with technology that is useless because it is easily circumvented, but they pay more for it too? |

What if legislation came down that said you can have a smart gun, or no gun at all? What are you going to choose? Oh, and what if a loved one such as my wife.....stop right there. My wife should have her own smart gun, case closed. No one is shoving a smart gun down anyone's throat. Smart gun technology isnt hurting you or me. Its something being considered, shame on them for trying out new technology. |
