I'm trying to figure out exactly what your rifle is doing in terms of jamming so maybe some of us can figure out what is doing on. So when the rifle was jamming, it would somewhat extract the round just fired, but not entirely, and then the next round would try to load into the chamber? Or would it not really pull the fired round out at all, and then try to chamber another round? Would the casing turn sidways and hang up in the bolt or would it usually stay length wise? Just trying to figure out what it looks like so we might can tell you exactly why it's jamming.

Both of mine love 22.6 grains of 844 in back of a Hornaday 68 HPBT Match, CCI SR Magnum primers.
I am fortunate that I have a good load for both rifles.

IF YOU KEEP YOUR RIFLE CLEAN AND DRY, YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE ANY JAMMING PROBLEMS WITH THE RIFLE. BAD AMMO? WD 40? I HAVE HAD MINE WITH RAIN ICE ON THE WHOLE WEAPON AND IT JUST FIRED AWAY. BUSHMASTER M4A3.

I definitely do not have all my fact’s straight. Once I do, I’ll just post a new thread. I don’t remember exactly what happened w/ the jamming but I’ll make sure to note specifics next time it happens. No more WD-40 for me it looks like & no it wasn’t dry. Many thanks for all your help.

A new AR will lap the carrier and bolt in as you break her in....it's why you should buy a new bolt when you change barrels. It will smooth up a lot over time, but can be a bit grimy as parts wear and mate up.

WD-40 is junk as a lubricant. A well worn AR will run well without much lube, but new one's can need help to break in. A good light CLP like FP-10 or Militech will do fine. Even a decent synthetic motor oil (Mobile 1 5w-30) will do in a pinch. I find I get less carbon fouling on the bolt when I use FP-10. Wipe off the excess.

I referred back to the manual & I was all wrong, sorry, it’s not a 1:7 twist but 1:9. I’m going through all the proper cleaning steps outlined int he manual which should eliminate my problem. Its mentions cold weather shooting prep which I need to follow apparently. Thanks

1 in 9" should be able to handle 62 grainers with no problem.
