Personally, having an AR-15 already, I'd rather just get a spikes 22lr upper for it.

I'll say they look reaL cool, some people spend the money because they like it,is cool and a good looking 22,I really will not spend 500 in it,but if I had a big bank acc. it would be in my safe, the same as people who gets a 10/22 and spend 500 or more in ar convertions or any other configurations, personally Im gonna buy a cheap airsoft from airsplat.com,maybe a G36 and dremel it for my remy 597 or heck even for my marlin 60 the one i paid 50 bucks for it,get a G36 for 36 bucks and dremel it and you have a tacticool 22 to plink around,I have shot a remy 597 in G36 config(dremel) and it really feels like the real deal(I think),it was dremeled and JB welded in the internals to fit a marlin 60...,just my 2 pennies (do what u got to do)

well i put one on layaway at gander last night, I was thinking of buying a cheaper semi 22 but i really liked the mp5 look and considering 556 rounds are like 250 dollars for 500 vs 20 bucks for 500 for 22 rounds i can actually take my friends with me and let them shoot when i go to the range. i mean i love my M4 but damn just shooting at paper is friggen expensive... and besides i heard the atf may put a stop the gsg5 importation dunno how true that is but i wanted one for a while now. Now after this i may buy a 270 or somthing for deer season this year or maybe just get a nice 30-06 if i can find a deal on a used one. I mean i want guns that will put an elk on his ass but i also want one that i can spend all day shooting and not break the bank... I mean 30 rounds of 556 is the same as 500 rounds of 22...

this way i still have a cool fun gun with an afordable ammo to boot...

plus its a cool gun to teach my brother and sister on... not that they cant handle the m4, i just cant handle the price of ammo...
