Default AK Question

I was looking at this and wanted to know if this was a good deal..

http://www.centerfiresystems.com/AKAGUN20.aspx

I don't know jack about rifles and figured for the price offered, it would be a good deal and I can get to know the platform with out hurting the pocket the first time around.

Anyone have any thoughts on this particular AK?

AG

I have a WASR-10, and I love it. Some people complain about the accuracy, but i find it very accurate.

Some things to note, once you get it: Sometimes, depending on the mag you get with it, the mag may rattle or shake. Not a big problem, but it does happen. Not much you can do to fix it, either. Another thing is a canted front sight. It's when the front sight isnt aligned straight with the rear sight. I've yet to see it, but I heard it was a problem in earlier versions.

The Rommy is a great AK, but here is a better price.
It comes with a 10rd mag and a 5rd mag, just buy a few 30rd mags and you are good to go.

You have to watch, sometimes those cheaper WASR10's with the 5 and 10 round mags are set up for single stack mags only, but no big deal...15 minutes with a dremmel and you can make the 30 round mags fit. (Thats all that Century does) The one with the 30 round mag included has already been buzzed out to accept the 30 rounders. Either way, that is a good deal and you should jump on it! LOL

Not a bad price at all.
There is also one for sale in the classifieds here for a bit less.

That is interesting, I did not know that.
I guess thats why the one with the 30rd mag is $409.00.
I was curious about that, but like you said, either way it's a good price.
Thanks for the insight.

For the last few weeks, Dunham's had the WASR-10 hi-cap (30rd mag) on sale for $350. At least you can inspect it at the store, if they still have any in stock. They do offer rain checks, too.

Beyond the single/double feed mags, some do or don't have the slant brake.

If I pick one up, I would eventually get a scope (like what you have on it) or an EOtech like sight on it.

It's either going to be the WASR-10 or the RIA 5" Tactical 1911 they have for the same price on that website. I haven't made up my mnd yet.

But seeing that we might have to deal with Obama in office next year and this whole AWB talk, I'm sort of leaning to the WASR.

Go with the AK pal. You will regret it if you don't.
You can always get a 1911.
