Default AR-15 Mags

Any of you guys used the Magpul Pmags for your ARs? I wanted to load up on some more 30 rounders and have heard good things about these. I normally stick with USGI mags, but wanted some opinions on the Magpuls. Might be worth a try.

I'm gonna be buying some PMAG's shortly.

Here's a video of how durable they are if you're curious:

I have about 20 of them and use them exclusively now. Buy one, set it on the floor, and then jump on it. That will certainly give you and idea of how tough they are. The only problem I had was that one of my lowers had a magwell that wasn't cut to milspec and the p-mags would stick. The manufacturer of the lower acknowledged the issue and fixed the lower so that P-mags worked properly. For the price I think they are certainly worth it.

What penguin said. I have three and none of them would drop freely from either of my AR's. But that's nothing a little light sanding won't fix.

Lancer mags are suppose to be like Pmags but they can be frozen and still won't break. Plus!!! They don't seem to have fitting issues like the Pmags do.

Lancer mags are see through and about 4 dollars more.

I was in your situation a few months ago. I lurk at an AR15 dedicated site and everyone there raves about all Magpul products. I try to filter all the information I get through that site due to an extremely high "cool" factor that is in play.

When the PMags first came out I thought that it was just the same "Magpul hype". I wondered how people who trashed the Thermold plastic mags (I have a few) could think that these polymer mags were better than any other mags, including USGI. I ordered some to find out and quickly saw what they were talking about.

While I am not getting rid of my USGI mags, I am extremely satisfied with the PMags.
