Default Mauser 98 - 22 Long Rifle

As a teenager many years ago I was given a Mauser 98 22 Long Rifle Training Rifle by my father. I made the mistake of giving it to a "Friend" to hold until I got $5 that I owed him. When I went to pay him I found that he had sold the rifle.

I am wondering if anyone might know where I could find a similar rifle.

As I lost my father this year I would like to replace this in his memory.

Thanks in advance.

I would regularly check Gunbroker or any of the other gun auctions websites. These rifles are very uncommon and go for a pretty penny. http://forums.gunboards.com/ and www.surplusrifleforum.com have For Sale sections to check. Surplus Rifle even has .22 trainer section. Maybe someone there can help you out.

Good luck and I hope you find one.

Wow those prices are...ambitious.

I think your friend selling YOUR gun cuz you owed him $5 is justifiable homicide. Or at least get me on your jury....
