I don't know whats going into it so I'll put in a Link for the parts in a Chandler
Sniper. Might give you some ideas or confirm what you already know.
The difference between a good tactical and a great tactical is the bedding.

Chandler Sniper

Yes, definately bed the barreled action to the stock. You can do it yourself or have a competent gunsmith do it.

I'm happy for you sander, I hope this turns into a rifle that you're pleased with. It looks like you're off to a good start, and I see that you went with my idea for the Anschutlz free rail, good call. Keep us posted.

Oh and on the Iron Brigade "sniper rifles" they're using good components, but that thing is WAY WAY over priced. They only guaruntee moa accuracy, and say you might have to handload. You can get a rifle that is built with the same components from tac ops that has a 1/4 moa guaruntee with Federal Match. You can also get Georgia Precision (GAP) to build you a rifle to your specs for way cheaper, and still have enough money left over to put a Nightforce, S&B or USO (if you want to pitch in a little more). I don't know, just seems a bit steep for what you're getting.

Yup. Save some $$$ for ammo too.

I think your on the right track sander. Good luck and I hope you end up with a real shooter.

I can get the GAP Crusader which costs $3,525 for $3750 WITH a Leupold M4 4.5-14X40 Mildot from IBA known as their TAC-500. The IBA version with out optics the TAC-400 is $2,850 which is $625 cheaper than Georgia Precisions with out optics.
Comparing a Chandler to McMillan Bros rifle is a good comparison.
Kelly McMillan (McMillan Stocks) will tell you if you don't by one of their Rifles then buy one from IBA. Norm Chandler will say the same thing about McMillan Bros rifles.

Comparing a GAP Crusader to a Chandler is like Apples to Oranges.

GAP makes a very nice rifle but comparing their top gun to IBA's top gun is not as simple as it looks. Georgia Precision doesn't build a similar version of IBA's Chandler.
