Default Yugo SKS, Modifications, and Compliance?

Heya,

As some of you may have read, I've been trying to modify a Yugo SKS, and putting Optics on it. I keep reading about the "compliance" issues, and I think I understand them enough, but I've never gotten a complete picture.

Heres what I'd like to do:
  1. I want to replace the wood stock with a Tapco Fusion T6 Synthetic Stock (aparently 3 compliance parts?)
  2. I want to replace the fixed magazine with a detatchable 20 round Mag, also Tapco (One compliance part?)
  3. and I want to swap out the grenade launcher for an identical muzzle break (One compliance part?)

What I'd like to know is.. how many compliance parts do I need total? I heard 5 somewhere, and I heard 10 somewhere else. I have no plans on selling this SKS, either. Any insight would be awesome.

Thanks guys, ya'll are my saviors!

I believe that the rule is 10 or less imported parts on a rifle...an SKS has 15 recognized parts so you need to replace 5 parts with US made items. The Tapco T6 stock counts as 3. For more info, search for the 922r compliance rule...
