Anyone ever heard Polish Tantal AK-74 has tendency to keyhole?

I've happily put down deposit on Tantal 5.45mm yeasterday. I'm picking it up hopefuly next week.

As I was talking about it, someone sent me a following message.

I wanted a Tantal, until I started reading up on these on various websites.
Supposedly (and again...I don't own one but the people reporting this surely do) that the US made barrels are oversized and cause the 5.45 bullets to keyhole. Not good.
You may luck out and get one that does not do this, but there are many complaints on many web boards about Century built Tantals with oversized bores that keyhole.
...just warning you...the many tales I read were enough to ensure I am not going after one of these. Good thing, because I was drawn to these but I don't want an AK that keyholes...no thank you.

I've read some of the same comments on various boards about US-made barrels being slugged out at 5.56. They were sent back to Century for replacement.

No, I don't have a link, just something I recall reading in the last six-eight months.

I don't have a tantal so I haven't kept up on anything that I've read ... but I do remember reading that Century's builds had problems.

Your best bet is go to www.theakforum.net and jump into the Polish section. There are a ton of tantal owners there.
