As Kramer pointed out, there are way too many things to judge upon.
Country of origin size submodel bore and overall condition factory roll stamps and proof marks in good condition which factory is originated from

if you just want an 8mm (7.92mm x 57mm to be accurate IIRC) Mauser style you should be able to get them for well below 200.00 w/ bayonet (Yugo M48 still in Cosmo)
If you are interested in a Mauser style modern - Ruger still uses the Mauser style action in their M77 series, these are chambered in most modern rounds If you want a real German WW2 style Mauser (K98) you are looking at 250 - 500 for a shooter grade w/ nice wood... There are a LOT of variants out there as well Overall they are good rifles, they kick pretty hard but they are also fun on the range... ammo isn't to hard to find yet but its getting worse as time goes on just like everything else. Luckily with it being a bolt you'll go through ammo much slower so several hundred rounds will keep you covered for a while. Its a fun gun but you won't shoot it that often (at least I don't shoot mine that often) the recoil makes it unpleasant to shoot (metal butt plate)

I bought mine for $195 at a consignment shop. It's a 8mm Turkish Mauser.

I picked up a K98 for $230 and a Yugo 24/47 for around $160. If you want a great shooter and a great gun for the money, the Yugo is an awesome gun. You can get them from JGSales but it has been the most cosmoline saturated rifle I have ever received.

![]() Oh, I was wrong. Those Yugo 24/47s are only $129. They are $100 for the gun and $29 for all the cosmo.
