Ordered mine for $180. The extra mags is where they get ya. $60 is a bit much.

midway just had them for $159. Dealer price $139. (love having a C&R) they went fast. you can singup for a email notice when they are back in stock.

But that is only a drop in kit to an already built AR correct? Its not a full upper so I would need a full AR15 before I could use that...

You NEED an AR15 anyway so youll be coming out ahead. Youve been wanting to get one for years so now you have another excuse.

The $200 I was referring to were gunshow prices. I watched them go from $150 up over $200 and have seen these prices other places. I waited for months and months for Brownells (who had the kits priced at $115 with C&R discount) and other dealers who could not get ahold of any kits. I refused to deal directly with Ciener since he has such a lovely customer servive reputation. I finally lucked out and found a barely used kit for $80.

I agree to go with BDM mags. The new gen mags are great and resemble the AR mag. Ciener can keep his over-priced mags.

unfortunately my wife is the "angel" that pops up and promptly beats the shit out of me for considering it.

I might be able to get the GSG-5 past her at around 450... 800+ for an AR ain't gonna happen

An AR is a must for any red blooded American firearm lover. I don't care what you say.
She will be mad at first, and then she'll get over it because it makes you happy and she loves you. Trust me I know.

If money is the issue, then just buy a lower receiver.
That way you can always just piece together here and there (its easy).
With the "Assault Weapons Ban" approaching, your window of opportunity is closing.
You want to enjoy youself..and not kick yourself in the ass later for not acting. Just my opinion.
