The FS 2000 is gas piston operated. It is unlike other systems however. The gas piston is a small "piston" that looks like a small automobile engine valve. This small piston will, (under gas recoil) strike the head of the bolt and bolt carrier assembly, (upon recoil impulse) causing it to actuate the entire weapons assembly - as other gas operated weapons do.

Oddly enough, the gas system, (only) reminds me of an SKS.
