I myself am a Hi Poweraholic with a S&W N Frame Pre-lock affliction. I try to stay away from rifles but after inheriting some to go with my AR M4 & Mimi 14 I see another item abuse problem sprouting. So I now have a 30-06 1917 Enfield and some sort of Older 7mm Bolt Action rifle with the sling attached to the barrel. It is tapped for a scope and the blueing is all gone. It has a raised cheek piece on the stock and is checkered forarm. The only writing I can find on it is the caliber which says 7mm. I will take it in and try and find out what it is one day. I was told it is European.
