Help Rocket find a CHEAp SKS!

I put a WTB ad in the classifieds, but maybe someone from Western PA knows a good place for me to find a CHEAP SKS! I want to spend around $100 on a working rifle sooooo...one that has a bad stock would be in line for me! I'm working on a project gun so the stock condition is not important. I would like to have a chrome lined barrel and no bayonet!

So put your ears to the ground and see if you can turn anything up for me!

I was at Dunhams today and they had new condition SKS's in stock for 199.99 on sale. They looked real clean. FYI One day I will build me a SKS also. That picture of the sks is sexy....(no homo)

Seriously? I really don't think you are going to find a decent SKS for $100. Everyone I've seen over the past few months has been in the $200 - $300 range. I actually bought a 1965 Chinese Norinco SKS at the Wind Gap show from a 'walker' for $270 ... might seem high but it had the original mag, the prototype 20 round mag and a hi-cap. Rifle is really nice and shoots well.

I saw Eagle arms at the Allentown show and they still have cases of Yugos still in the cosmo but they are $275.

I know, it's a long shot...but it don't hurt to ask. Like I said, I will even take a working rifle with a shit stock! I'm not gonna use the original stock. If I end up buying a nice one for $200-$250...I'll probably sell the stock outright.

The Cheapest I've seen have been $150 for POS -- But You need at least a C&R and there currently out of Stock. I got a Norinco at the Harrisburg show about a year ago, also from a "Walker" for $100 -- So I'd say a Gunshow will be the best bet, But maybe someone here will come thru.

No dis intended but unless you have a time warp machine or get involved in something illegal finding a working SKS for a bill is an extremely long .. longshot.
