Default Mosin Nagant

Hey there,
Im just got an M44 and im going to get the ati stock for it and some accesories for it. My question is can i swap the barrel for an m38 and if I do so, how difficult will it be? I dont know much about rifles, so please help me out. The reason for the swap would be preference (better condition barrel and i dont have to mess around with getting the bayonet off)

I would suggest you just buy a M38 Mosin. It's simply not worth the effort to swap barrels. The cost of the barrel plus trying to find somebody to do it would most likely cost more than the M38. Not to mention the PITA factor.

This is how a collection starts!

A big 10-4 on that. Just get both, its always the better option.

Yes, best way to go, that's what I did, only I didn't buy a new stock, just added what I wanted to the origional M38

Chances are the M38 barrel would be in the same or worse condition than your M44 (unless your M44 barrel is really bad)

And removing the bayonet off an M44 would be alot easier than trying to remove and replace a barrel.
