I decided to wait to get the free float system that I wanted instead of what I can afford at the moment.

Nice build looks very cool.
I do have one question though. are all AR, m4 parts as well as differnt manufacture parts ie COLT bushmaster interchangable? One other question does anyone have a good guide on m4,ar builds? |

As far as building check out the guides listed here: http://ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=4&t=226782 there's also videos at life, liberty, etc that will show you as well. Youtube might too. Took me like...25 minutes to assemble my lower, if you include the buttstock and putting the bolt together...maybe 35-40 for a first timer, they're kinda like legos.

UPDATE!!!! More parts.
![]() I ordered a White Oak Armament 16″ Stainless Steel Match Grade Barrel w/M4 Extension from Rainier Arms. http://www.rainierarms.com/?page=sho...product_id=600 * 16″ Stainless Steel Match Grade Barrel * 1:7 Twist * Midlength Gas System * 5.56 NATO Chamber * Bead Blasted Finish I can't wait to shoot this thing!!! Man this barrel looks sweet. The machine work looks excellent. I paid more than I was planning to spend, but I think the quality is worth the money. The barrel is probably the one part I didn't want to skimp on. The only markings on the barrel are: "WOA 1-7 07-07" ![]() Shown below is a close up view of the M4 cuts in the barrel extension. (Damn, I hope no CSI type person can swipe my prints?) ![]() I also ordered a Yankee Hill Machine Phantom 5C2 Comp/Flash Suppressor. The first pic is from YHM, second is mine. The flash hider is screwed on finger tight in the pic. ![]() ![]() I also ordered a Midwest Industries MctarFFG Gas Block Front Flip Up Sight from AimSurplus to complement the rear sight. The pic is from AimSurplus dot com. ![]() I also picked up a Magpul Enhanced Trigger Guard. The pic is from Magpul. ![]() Below is a pic from inside the Upper to show how the M4 cuts from the Anvil Arms upper and WOA barrel align. They look to align pretty well. I have not seen too many shots like this, so I am looking for opinions on the alignment. Keep in mind, the barrel is not tightened down... I don't have a barrel nut yet. ![]() ![]() Finally, a full shot of the rifle, minus a few parts of course. Next on the list is a barrel nut, gas block and gas tube. I am considering a YHM FF Lightweight Quad Rail or the RRA FF Tube. Not sure which way I want to go yet.... Decisions, decisions.... Anyone have any suggestions or opinions either way?![]() So, there is my progress to date. I know everyone here loves pics, so I loaded it up!!!! Cheers!!!

My WOA barrel mated perfectly to my WOA upper. The M4 ramps were pretty much seamless. I'd tighten yours down and file the transition to match. Just blend it.

I have a barrel nut if you need one, brand new...never been used.
The finish and install was cake on my YHM FF tube, and if you put up a WTB thread on Arfcom you might snag one for about 60 like I did, and mine appeared to be brand new. My wilson has the m4 feed ramp cuts in it too, just not the upper. During test fire I did a mag dump and could not for the life of me get it to jam...I think you'll be rocking. Moreso....how do you like your anvil upper. A flat top is on my future "buy list" and since I have an anvil lower they should mate well, is there any gap between the two...if you hold it up to a light does it shine through? My "next" upper will likely be a VLTOR with a match barrel and badger FF handguards...then i'll talk..i mean sway the lady into letting me get another lower (magpul if they release soon) and one of those slick new magpul stocks.
