Default The Winchester Model 94 40 S&W...

...does not exist. Why not? If someone from Winchester is reading this, it should. Sales would be in the tens of thousands. Surely the 94 could be adapted to a rimless cartridge! Come on, engineers.. get to work!

Find a nice 1892 chambered in .38-40 (.38 WCF). Smoother action too.

Maybe a Marlin 336 formerly 35 Rem could be rebored to 40 S&W, you could get alot of rounds under a 16 or 18 inch barrel. Great home defense gun, or put it in your Motorhome and not worry about driving thru some state that has outlawed what ever they call an "assault rifle" this month.

To be realistic (no fun) the 40 has about the same ballistics as the 357 magnum which in in some neat little lever guns already.
