Yeah man you'll love the K31. I have 2 myself once you get use to the straight pull bolt system you'll love it.

I hunted with mine last deer season. I carried it on an empty chamber. It is faster to work the action than to take off the safety.
The action is very fast. Not push a button fast, but faster than using the stock safety. Guy

Wow, it is great to hear the advise that you guys gave. When I first got into rifles all I researched was the C&R military rifles. Thank you so much for telling him not to bubba it. The K-31 is a great rifle and oh, so accurate. The ammo is rare but what a great rifle. please check out surplusrifle.com for some great info on the K-31. I have been kicking myself for not picking one up 4 years ago when I had the money and they were dirt cheap. Enjoy!!

yeah the price of k31s are going up. I was lucky to pick up two from a fellow board member here, if you get a chance to pick one up for reasonable prices do it :-)

AIM surplus has the best deal on ammo that I can find right now (Prvi Partisan, GP11 is OK too). Previously, sportsmans guide had the best price on GP11, but they just jacked it up 50 bucks for a case last week.
 That's just greed as all that stuff was purchased almost a year ago and is just sitting on the shelves. Dans ammo has the best price on GP11, even with tax.
