Top 10 Combat Rifles

This show aired on the Military Channel a few weeks ago.

The list was formed from four categories:
Accuray, Length of Service, Combat Effectiveness, Innovation & Handling.

Each category was rated from 1 to 10:
The following, in reverse order, is what they came up with. I'm sure some would disagree with their conclusions, ( Weapons Experts and Historians from UK & US ) as did I, but watching the show would give a clearer picture.

didnt agree with all of their choices though.

This was just on the History Channel. I think they will be running the show all day. Its a great show.

AK-47, deff. #1 and placed correctly. The model has taken more live than any other weapon, and has been involed in almost every major world conflict.

Now Tank Builders is on, another awesome show!

I agree with most of their choices, I definately agree with the AK being number one on the list

btw - I'm pretty sure there are only 2 Top 10 shows that the Russia is #1 in... The Combat Rifle and the Troop Transport if i remember correctly.

There are definitely things to quibble over but I do like how production and logistics play into the ratings. Interesting to see how a bomber like the B-2 might be too expensive for war.
