Those 10 ten shows are definitely fun to watch, but I almost always get pissed off with some aspect of their choice of rankings. The 10 ten helicopters episode in particular really ticked me off.

Never shot an M-14, but LOOOOOOVE my M1 Garand. 60 years old and still shoots like a dream.

Well, I think the all time, longest in use, served in more wars and battles, killed more men and still holds the record for killing the most elephants and lions was sadly missed. It’s too bad that the guys who rank things have no regard for anything before “their” time. The Lee-Enfield started as a black powder rifle and ended as a 308 sniper rifle. It was the standard of the empire that ruled the world. The Springfield was and is a fine target rifle but never served as a primary rifle in any war. The Doughboys carried M1917’s (yes, Sgt. York was issued a ’17) and by WW2 the M1 was first line. The war in Russia saw the US forces armed with Moisons!! The only combat the ’03 saw was in China and Nicaragua, before and after WW1. Including the ’03 and M14 was a poor call, the M1 Rifle, NOT carbine was/is a better combat rifle IN US SERVICE. The downfall of the M1 was the 8-round clip. The clip means that the rifle needs to be backed up by a supply train leading back to the USofA. Yes, I loved my M14 and refused to trade for a M16, but it is a better target rifle than combat rifle.

Yeah, seriously. You got it all wrong. The 1903 is actually a misprint. It's actually 1703, and the gun was originally produced for the Quakers in the early 18th century. It was first used in combat by the Oatmeal Militia to defend North Dakota from the invading Egyptian and Indonesians naval fleet in the year 1721. 4 years later after the Quakers perfected the hydrogen bomb, they sold off nearly their entire inventory of Springfields to the Antarctic defense force, which still fields them in combat to this day. The Springfield is prized for it's compact size, light weight, and high rate of fire, making it idea for clearing rooms in close quarter combat.

No, no, you need not thank me. I'm more than happy to have cleared that up for everyone.

NO NO NO.
it was 1711 when west dakota tryed to over take north dakota. and we all know how that one turned out.
that why it's a 1911, instead of an 1811, it took them 200 years to clean up the mess....

Actually watching Top Tens at this very moment, they are doing top ten bombers of all time. I have seen this one several times also, and enjoy it every time. I wish they would do top ten combat handguns of all time, but as a handgun is primarily a defensive weapon I doubt that will happen.
