Thumbs up Canadian Snipers

A couple of days ago I received an e-mail with a video attached that showed Canadian sniper taking out Taliban in Afganistan with a .50 cal rifle at about 2,000 meters. They supposedly beat the Carlos Hathcock record by taking out a target at 2,310 meters.
Anybody else see this video? Comments?

Apparently another Canadian sniper broke that record a couple days after with a 2,400 meter kill.

Actually, I think Hatchcock made his longest kill with a scope mounted up to a .50 BMG.

He didn't have the guns we have now, though.

Nice shooting for sure... but with today's weaponry and ammo - it can be done a lot easier.

Not to discredit our and friendly sharpshooters - but I'd like to see those guys, or any other guys, pull off what Billy Dixon did at Adobe Walls in 1874 with an open sighted Sharps rifle shooting a rainbow arc'd 50-70 round at 9/10 of a mile.

yep, It was a M2HB outfittted w/ a scope and modified to be single shot.

It's still MUCH more impressive than anything done with a bolt action rifle today

co150x1@netzero.netI don't know how to post it but if you send me an e-mail I can attach it.
Carlos, White Feather did use a .50 cal machine gun, single shot, with home made scope mount.
You can look it up on one of the many listing at Google.
