My Mini Makeover
Hey guys - first post in the rifles forum.
I know the Mini-14 is despised by many people (especially some AR owners) but I happen to think it's a great little rifle. I felt like dressing it up and found one online that I really liked so I decided to re-create it. Yes - I might be crazy but hey .. that's me. Here is the treatment she got: SCAR CQB Stock, "Har-Bar" barrel support / harmonic balancer, Leupold 4x28 scope, B-Square weaver mount, cheapo bipod. This completely changed the look of my mini - for the better I think. Anyway - thought I'd share. Haven't fired it yet so I can't tell you how much the Har-Bar helped with tightening the groups up yet - hopefully soon. Next up: trigger job and flash suppressor. Enjoy:

Thanks Rocket! Probably a bit overkill for a mini but it makes me smile a little when I look at it. Almost reminds me of the M-249 I used to carry when I was in the military.
It did get a little heavy up front (which the mini kind of needed anyway). Anyway - thanks for the nice comment and Happy T-Day to all!!

That explains why everything seemed so far away!!  XD nailed it.. long eye relief for sure. It definitely looks backwards though but I am liking this scope. rady8um: ha!
