Default SGL 127 in Monroe County Range Closed

The PGC state game lands range on state game lands 127 in Monroe County is officially closed. A notice at the range indicates that it would (was to) be closed around July 29th, and would remain closed for "approximately a month" due to "lead remediation."

Dang it! I was planning on trying to get up to this one to shoot a few of my rifles. Nothing like closing all the ranges at the same time. Nice going PGC.

Apparently the Game Commission is closing all local ranges for lead remediation. Why wait until just before hunting season to pull this stunt? They could have started in early spring and been done long ago. Last year the state messed with the PICS system in early September. I think I see a pattern here. Special thanks go out to the Governor of Philadelphia.
