douglsy is on a distinguished road
Question looking 4 range w obsticales, buldings, ect.

Does anyone know of a good range where they have make shift buildings or a course that you can run through. Im tired of just standing in one spot and shooting at a stationary target. I live in bucks county and am willing to travel a bit ( not to far). any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you all for the input, I'm looking into joining the IDPA. It seems like exactly what I am looking for, and I think I am going to do that. To tell you the truth it seems kind of intimidating. It looks like they do a good job of keeping you with people your skill level, but there is a lot of procedures and what have you to follow, I'm sure ill get it. Im sure if i go to a match or so the people there will help me. My biggest worry is that I have never shot in an event like that and i cant afford to practice that much, which if your going to compete is obviously very important. (shooting is really getting expensive these days)

Thanks again for all the suggestions and hopefully you'll see my name on the IDPA's leaderboards sometime soon. (Wishful thinking , I know)

It probably too far from you, but we have pictures on the site of shoot houses that we have built. Perhaps it will give you ideas that you can bring up at your local club.

I think that West Shore Sportsman's Club has a shoot house.

Just back from the West Shore Sportsman Assoc. I was over on Range 1,
with family and some fellow shooters. The other ranges were in use by
IDPA. Included moving targets, Steel Plates, and the "Shoot House". It
was there monthly match, and well attended, It is located in Fairview
Township, York County, On Ridge Road, Just off of I-83, Check out the
website: Westshoresportsmen.org. Contact Hersh Gooden @ 367-8936,
WSSA's IDPA Chapter. Also Visit www.idpa.com to find out what hand-
guns and equipment are approved for competition.
The folks there are a great bunch of gentlemen and ladies.

Try going to a range that holda na IDPA match... there are some folks that setup some decent scenarios.

Pa seems to be a good state for IDPA.

Some setup doors, corridors, inside of cars... requiring exit, etc. Use of Cover and concealment, etc.
