Default New backstop at Long Branch Sportsmen's Club

After a few months of planning, and a ton of hard work from a few members, and a few non-members, we have finally completed our new backstop for the 100yd outdoor range. Last fall we had a few instances where ricochet bullets left the range and landed on the neighbor's property. They asked that we keep our bullets to ourselves, so we devised the following backstop to contain them.

Prior to this, the backstop was just a dirt hillside.

Isn't that range right above the clubhouse? Didn't they used to have a 200 meter range for handgun silhouette? I was there more that 25 years ago for a turkey shoot.

We had a 200 yd range that was used for hi-power rifle competition, but we no longer use that range. It wasn't in the best position to start with, and when some #*@(#$ built a house just beyond the backstop, that caused some problems. We're focusing on the 100 yd range now.

My next project there will be to get a 25 yd pistol range done.

The 50' indoor range is still there.
