Default York county Felton, Target shooting on property

HI, this is first post. I live in Northhopewell township in Felton. I'm new to the area just move here a short time ago,

The question is Can I legally fire my rifle on my property ?
The only info I can come up with is that I'm 150yard away from houses.

Does that include my own house, and/or the direction that I'm shooting in?

Does this law apply during hunting season?

I used to live in Felton.
I don't think you'd have too much concern as long as you use common sense. When I was there, a fair number of folks sighted their rifles in for deer season.
Your best bet is to visit the guys at the firehall and ask them.

Just use some sense...just because you've got 150 yards doesn't mean that's adequate, so know your back stop. Know where that bullet will end up if you miss your target!
Don't shoot on someone else's property without permission.

That said, I used to plink (with a .22 or 9 mm handgun) down the hollow (road running parallel to Main Street between the firehall and ball field leads to it).
That's been 6 or 7 years ago now....so the fire hall boys can steer you straight.

You need to check for any local laws or ordinances concerning the discharge of a weapon within a municipalities boundries.

Just because you can hunt on a piece of property doesn't mean you can do recreational shooting.
