Default All ranges by me are closed. Where can I shoot now?

All the ranges by me are closed for that lead remediation. So where can I shoot?
I was thinking about my own property. I live in Berlin township north in between of Hawley and Honesdale in Wayne County. I've been trying to find out as much information before I call the sheriff, but to no avail. I want to shoot rifle and pistol (no round limit, nor for hunting rifles) on my own property. What are the rules or regulations for this, distances, deflection angles, etc. Sec. 2505. Safety zones, and Sec. 2507. Restrictions on shooting are confusing to me as well. If anyone who lives where I do knows the rules or regulations I would be happy to hear them, or sites or numbers to call to find out in my area. Any information will help. Thanks.

The Zoning Regulations for your township would be a good place to start. Some townships do not have their own zoning and it falls to the County. Example being where I am I am zoned agricultural and just about anything goes. I have a range with dedicated vehicles and structures. Had someone up the valley complain to my township supervisors some time back about my shooting so much. Twp. supervisor told him there was not anything they could do. If there is nothing that forbids it in the zoning then I would say common sense should dictate. It seems you are already aware of the issues that you need to concern yourself with.

Be safe (and well regulated).

Scott

I use a spot near an abandoned/reclaimed coal mine. I checked the map and it's at least a half mile from anywhere. Has a good hillside backstop. It's out in the township, and they only have one part-time cop, and I doubt he'd care. The township doesn't have any rules against much of anything. We're pretty rural here.

Check your local gun shop. See where they recommend.

Gus Heberling runs a great indoor range just 6 (six) miles north of Honesdale in Prompton.

Stay well.

Seriously dude, join a club. If you're not a hunter or fisherman they have some really nice ranges, are mostly private, and atleast the club belong to mever seems to have anyone there outside of hunting season, or an organized turkey shoot.

Dave.

P.S. Glad to see that my area was not the only place they closed all the ranges at the same time.
