1911 Grip, thumb over or under safety?
Has anyone had their thumb hit by the slide by some fluke? I feel like my thumb is near danger when its on top of the safety when I fire, but I do like the feel of it.

Yeah actually, I have never tried it at the range with my thumb over the safety, but did a few dry fires tonight to test it out. When I am convinced my thumb won't get mangled I will try it at the range. Although it does look like it would be rather difficult to put your thumb in harms way...

Sandwich the safety between your thumbs.
Firing hand thumb on top, support hand thumb underneath. Engage the safety with the support hand thumb, disengage with the firing hand thumb. It's an efficient and ergonomic method. People usually have to pay good money for that kind of info

Just so everyone knows, I'm the smartass that chose option 3. I know what a 1911 is, I want one, but i figured option 3 would be lonely, so i gave it a click lol.
