I use the oil...treated a few parts in my guns and made a very noticeable result. Even though its a dry lube when finished... I still use the oil on some parts just for peace of mind. My bolt gun is like butter now

LRT, How long have you used grease on your connector? I always felt that if you buy it with grease on it ,grease is good to go(and Giles recommended it).

I use Shooters Choice all weather high tech grease on my connector and Glock rails. CLP on my Ar bolts. I have some cans of Remoil I wipe my guns down with and use Flitz on my stainless revolvers to polish them up a bit, then wipe them down with oil.

Whole bunch of stuff, white synthetic grease for bolt lugs and recoil spring on an AR, lots of Break-Free. BUT, the best stuff I have found is LUCAS gun oil. I have a retail shop and my firearms are not behind the counter. LOTS of handling by customers. LUCAS stays on the firearm, fingerprints disappear!!

For tupperware Mobil 1. For carbon steel or stainless steel FP-10.

For my CCW firearms I usually run them dry.

Mobil 1.

I use it in my AR (LR-308) and in my Sig P220 and its works perfectly and can handle very high temps.

Using CLP in the AR I sometimes had feed issues because the bolt was short stroking.
Started lubing with Mobil 1 and the problem disappeared entirely the very first time I used it.

Its also a damn sight cheaper than high end gun specific lubes.

Some folks claim that it attracts grit more than other lubes. Well, if you clean your weapons after every use (as you should) this is a non-issue.
