Now that is a new one to me, I have no idea how that happened.
It's like they suspended his account or something until he could respond to their questions maybe?
I am really clueless.

I'm sure paypal will get your money back. I;ve bought about 200 items on ebay and have'nt lost a penny. Probably 2 bad encounters , but still pay pal refunded. Just keep an eye on feedback. Because there are a few that will try to cheat you, not many but a few.

Ebay is big on killing off auctions and accounts. I've had several of my auctions removed because people from foreign countries (Nigeria) keep using buy it now, gets very frustrating when there is nothing you can do to stop them.

- Paypal is a PITA, they charge a stupid fee every time you use them, I had a person use a credit card that they reported stolen, then found and canceled the stolen report... 2 months later Paypal took the money out of my account against both my and the payer (we had a dispute running). Then charged about 10% fee on top of that, which was on top of the 4.5% they charged to use the service.

Paypal and Ebay are filled with scammers and scum bags, I try to avoid it if I can

May be of interest that there is the big show in Allentown at Ag-Hall this weekend. This is less than 90 mins from Berwick........I know I am going and I know several vendors, any way to find out if this person is setting up a table or booth here???????

I've had pretty good luck using ebay. However, before I bid on anything I always take a thorough look at the feedback on that particular seller. I had one guy that took a very long time to ship a PDA, and he didn't respond to my emails for a while. He had some bullshit excuse but he did eventually send it.

95% is great on your chemistry exam.

With eBay sellers? Not so much.

Here's what I'd do:
1) File complaint with paypal (as you have).
2) If you paid via credit card thru paypal, go thru them as well. Preferably, get it taken care of thru them.
3) If you went thru your bank, call them and file a dispute. Also, easier than paypal.
4) Go to BBB and write a report on this loon.
5) Contact the Attorney General.

Usually for fun, I CC the seller of ill repute each step of the way (leaving out personal details, obviously).

Perhaps even pm me the seller's personal info. Send him a link to this thread. I find great entertainment in toying with scam artists. Consider this a game. You will get your money back, the question is, how much does this moron want to endure before he gives it back (or has it taken back) from him.

UPDATE

Got my refund from PAypal today. Never heard any more from the seller. He continues to stiff people for Magpul products. Sent Ebay a nastygram saying he needs to be removed, doubt it will accomplish anything. Bottom line is...

DON'T BUY FROM EBAY SELLER (MILITARYGRIFFIN)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
