Nah, it's not worth all that. I sent the guy an email on Thurs saying I would rather get my item than leave a neg feedback and get a refund. I also asked him if he had it in stock, and if so if he were to overnight it to me at no additional charge I would be satisfied. No response as of yet. I'll give him till Tuesday or so before going any further.

With all due respect, this guy has 345 negative feedbacks in the last year, including 59 this month.

If that isn't a giant red flag, I don't know what is.

One has a 1 in 20 chance of having a poor transaction with this guy. The guy before you was #19.

You guys need to be careful on eBay now. They have a new policy where if you're the seller, you cannot leave negative feedback any longer for buyers, even if the deal went downhill.

I don't make a living off of eBay or anything, but I have on occasion sold many things on there. The people who do rely on it for their livlihood all say it is a plan by eBay to eventually only have huge retailers as the sellers, and their new policy is a means to drive away the "little guys" who made eBay what it is today.

I don't have a dog in this fight, but there are two details of interest:

1. If his eBay handle is militarygriffin (no space), he's been on eBay since 2001. His record was okay until about June 2007. Something obviously changed on his end. From the feedback comments, he's struggling with shipping issues.

2. Here's a tool I use if I'm on the fence about a seller (link). It screens out all the positive, all you see are the negative and neutral feedback. It's useful for spotting patterns, like slow shipping, excessive shipping costs, etc. If you put militarygriffin in toolhaus, it'll take a while to load.

Yeah, I know, but look at all the volume the guy does. He's still got a 95% rating. Oh well, live and learn I guess. I'll just get my money back an buy directly from Magpul. Screw going through all this to try and save a few bucks.

UPDATE

Checked my ebay account today. The listing has been removed. Don't know exactly what that means, but it can't be good. The last two emails I've sent the guy went unanswered. Went ahead and filed a claim with paypal. Guess it's 'wait and see' time.

He either got the boot from ebay or else he cut bait and bailed. I would make sure you follow up with ebay immediately to get refunded. Says right at the top of his feedback profile. He is gone.

That has actually happened to me twice, on the same item. Twice I have tried to by "Pulp Fiction" on line twice from two different sellers they took my money and disappeared. The good news is that I got my money back from E bay both times.
