Default Kimber UC II

I'm considering a used Kimber Ultra Carry II in .45 ACP.
Do any of you guys carry one? How's the reliability, ease of take-down, etc.
It's pretty light, is recoil bad? Any insight is appreciated.

Hello,
I have one. I really like it and it is my primary carry. It has been 100% reliable so far (700rnds). I have only fed it FMJ and Cor Bon Powerball.

It is light, but shoot as well as my TLE/RL. Recoil is a little more noticeable esp. with the CorBon's. I find it forces an aggressive grip and stance which is good no matter what your firing.

The only negative IMO is the takedown procedure for a bushingless mini 1911.

Good Luck,
Dylan

I also have one though I have not carried it alot. When I did I carried in the waistband, very comfortable while standing but not so comfy while sitting. If I'd carry it again I would try a different holster. I would recomend a kimber to anyone they are a great shooting gun.
