Default Heckler&Koch USP Compact

I've never liked H&K USP.
always thought holding those USP(Mk23) was like gripping a piece of cinder block. And I was never able to see H&K product beyound that.

But today at the range, some kid let me try out USP Compact.45ACP...

And i have to be honest, I liked it!

I've never shot this weapon, and at 10yds, I thought I missed paper altogether other then 2nd shot, but tunred out that holes were pretty much on top of one another! Amazing!

I'll have to talk to my funshop and see how much I can get one for!!!

I carry a USP 40C every day and have a full sized brother for it. Best guns I've ever owned.

check used, their resale value is poor compared to their sale price, they are a good pistol, but they are big and bulky and are missing most of the "Safety" features

Average sale price is in the 550 range for the normal version, little more for night sights, normally with a few mags. Also watch what Variant you get, there are a lot of different versions, some a DAO, some are DA/SA, some have a safety, some don't, some have a decocker, some don't, some have both, some don't have any.

there are also left handed versions of almost all the models so watch for that. (safety / decocker on the right side of the gun instead of left).

my USP .40 was fairly accurate, shot well, recoil wasn't bad but when I tried carrying it... ehh, to heavy and bg

btw - http://www.pafoa.org/forum/firearms-...tml#post411689

(selling for 550 and includes a holster)

I had similar thoughts until I fired my brother-in-law's USP 45 compact.
I went and bought a USP 45 tactical compact shortly after, and I absolutely love it.
It is my primary firearm for carry. The HK P2000 is also very nice.
Here is mine.

After seeing this poster at a booth at the shot show several years ago....

I also second the motion that H&K is the way to go. I don't know of any other pistol that you load the magazine that way still have it shoot accurately & with reliability
